It's been a while

I've been thinking a lot recently about getting another post out, and I just haven't had a lot of time, obviously. I don't mind so much being a working mom, especially since I get a few weeks off during the summer. But right now, things are so busy that I just do what I can do when I can. But, I found this app that I can post my blogs from my iPad, so I'm trying it out.

I wanted to keep up with Emery's development a lot more on the blog, so now maybe I'll be able to better. I can't believe she's already 7 months old, getting closer to 8. She's developing quite a little personality. She doesn't seem to be a picky eater, which is great. She's pretty active, I think. I've also been told that by her daycare teacher, and even last night at the church nursery. She rolled from her stomach to her back pretty early, at 3 months. She didn't roll from her back to her stomach until about 5 months. She started crawling around 6 months, and now is really getting around well. And just in the last couple of weeks, she's been pulling herself up to a standing position, so I have no doubt she'll be walking by 9 months (just like her Daddy).

I love that most mornings she wakes up singing. I've sorta recorded it, but I want to get a good recording of it, because I know that one day she won't be doing that anymore. My dad said I sang like that when I was a baby, so I think that's cool. I also love that when I go to pick her up from daycare, she laughs and crawls toward me, or starts jumping up and down if she's in the exersaucer. I can't wait for the summer, when I get to hang out with her all day. I also can't wait for Amy, Jordan, and Ava to finally get to meet her in person, not just through Skype. Hopefully they'll be able to fly from Germany in June to visit.

I think the weird thing for me is that even though we get into a routine, it's always going to be changing as she grows older and changes. Jason said that's a good thing for me, since I like my comfort zone.

But for now I'm trying to just enjoy everything as it comes, because I know it will seem to have gone by so fast. And I'm trying to take lots of pictures!
